Invasive Honeysuckle

Invasive honeysuckle is something you definitely don’t want on your farm.  The first two pictures below are Japanese / Asian Honeysuckle which hasn’t been controlled and has taken over this tree.  The last two pictures are bush honeysuckle which are very invasive and hard to battle.

Transplanting Bur Oak Seedlings

I have a nice sized burr oak in my back yard – this property used to be a cattle farm.  Mother nature doing her thing, I have plenty of burr oaks that grow naturally in the fence row.  In October I decided to tag some of these smaller oak with the intention of digging them up and transplanting them to the farm where I have no bur oaks.

Here is one such seedling that I tagged for transplanting.
